Choosing an engagement ring can be fun!

If popping the big question is in your future then you are going to need to buy an engagement ring.  If you’re stressing out about this purchase, try not to worry!  Yes, it’s gonna cost you a few bucks, but it’s not hard to save big bucks when you know what to hunt for in a diamond ring.

Let’s look at a couple of ways you can save some cash and find cheap engagement rings.  I hate using the word “cheap” since diamonds are never going to be inexpensive, so let’s use the word affordable from now on!

Your first tip is that you need to take some time to research diamonds and find out about how they are graded.  There are a lot different factors that go into pricing a diamond and some are more important than others.  Believe it or not, there are some grading factors that you don’t want to be too high!  This is because you will fork out a lot more for a diamond and you will never be able to see a difference when you look at the diamond.

Here’s an example: all diamonds are graded when it comes to their “color”. They are ranked from D to Z, with D meaning it’s a diamond with absolutely no color in it.  All other diamonds have some sort of yellowish tinge to them, however this yellow is something you will NEVER see unless your diamond is graded with a color of H or lower.  Sadly, if you buy a diamond with a D grading you will pay thousands more than you would for a ring that has a diamond that is identical but has a lower color grading which you cant ever see!

Your best weapon in picking out a diamond is to read a diamond buying guide or check out a few websites about diamonds to get informed about diamonds.  You will save a huge amount of cash just by knowing what to look for when shopping for a ring.  Have fun and good luck!

DeThatching You Lawn Can Save It’s Life

Lawn de-thatching services are being offered more and more by lawn care professionals as homeowners become more aware of how detrimental thatch can be to their lawns and are looking for a reasonable cost solution.

Thatch can be a big problem for lawns. It is a tangled mass of living and dead organic matter consisting of roots, stems, and shoots that make it hard for water, air, and fertilizer nutrients to enter the soil and provide nourishment to your grass roots. If the thatch is not too deep, it’s probably not much of a problem. But thatching grows worse over time, not better. so it’s best to deal with the problem earlier rather than later.

If not taken care of, thatching can lead to the death of your lawn is a number of ways. It can cause drought stress, by creating runoffs and preventing water from seeping into the ground. The grass and plants will gradually die due to dehydration. Thatching can cause starvation, by preventing fertilizers and other nutrients from reaching the grass roots. And it can cause suffocation, as the layers of thatching become so dense that air cannot enter into the ground.

One excellent solution for thatching lawn is core aeration which simply involves poking lots of finger sized holes into your lawn and soil and making it porous enough so air, water, and nutrients can reach the roots. Usually this is done in the fall, just after the summer growing season, or in the spring – just prior to the growing season.

Core aeration is something that you can do yourself, with the right equipment such as an aerifier, aerator, or lawn dethacher. But with lawn companies offering their core aeration services at reasonable rates, it’s probably worth your while to get the best quote and have them do it instead.

Dog Training Aids

You may think that dog training aids are out there for you to spend money and not actually reap any benefits from. That is not the case. Dog training aids are there to help you succeed in teaching your dog, this could be teaching him obedience, agility or any other type of teaching you want to do. There are many aids available but only a certain few will work with your dog and his temperament.

I find the best training aid to be treats, small pieces of human food chopped up and given to him when he has done something good has always worked wonders, that is unless your dog doesn’t really have an interest in treats. This is a really cheap method of a training aid but if you want to blow some cash there are hundreds of options available for you.

For dog agility training aids that are available are e.g. anti bark collars. Many dogs have a problem when they do dog agility. They start barking constantly basically because of the hype involved. Anti bark collars do one of two things or sometimes both, they give a small electric charge when your dog barks and spray some water up into their face. People may think this is cruel but it is completely harmless. It just lets your dog know that barking is not acceptable. These collars are available at pet shops and on the internet and are not too expensive.

For dog obedience some dog training aids that are available are dog clickers, the newest craze out on the market which allows owners instead of associating sit with a word they use a click instead and reward with treats, no punishment allowed. Another aid available is a harness; this gets fitted around your dog’s upper body so when you are teaching him to heel a slight tug on the harness pulls him back completely. The harness is a widely used obedience aid and is greatly used for bigger dogs such as German shepherds and Rottweilers.

There are also dog training aids available for around the home. These are simple and effective. Many people turn to dog training aids when nothing else has worked but they don’t have to be the last thing you try, with aids so cheap these days there is no reason why you can’t invest in something that will make your dogs learning process a lot more exciting!

Getting The Crowd Into Your Trade Show Booth

Getting the proper crowd into your trade show booth can be a big task, but not impossible.   Walking the trade show floor on numerous occasions  I have noticed that there are some impressive looking trade show displays and some just mediocre.  I have also noticed some of the nice impressive booths have no crowd in them. Attendees just pass them by as if they were not there. The booth looks relatively nice with decent product displays yet no visitors to the booths (as a matter of fact I have seen some exhibitors which are the powerhouse of their market without any crowds in there booth at all) this means no new clients and also they may have gotten to be a powerhouse by other means, definitely not by displaying at trade shows. What makes the difference in attracting attendees into you booth?   There are a few factors

1- In getting attendees into your both first of all you must have a friendly and inviting trade show display, this mean do not configure your trade show booth like a forte.  It should be open and inviting -one should not feel trapped once they enter your booth.

2- Greet attendees in the trade show aisle not in your booth, Very few  will ever freely enter your trade show booth without being invited

3- To capture attendees’ interest you must have something different from the rest of exhibitors. Try to create some sort of theme or major attraction inside your trade show booth. This will serve as a major draw for show attendees. Your trade show booth might be nice looking but still unable to entice the crowd, therefore, a crowd pleaser is a must. I  have seen this happen at a recent show, true the attendance was down at the show but all in all most exhibitors said they did better that the previous year or show , why?. Fewer exhibitors mean less competition for you the exhibitor. This in turn turns into leads which eventually can result in sales.  In getting the best out of your trade show you must have something unique different from the rest of exhibitors. DO not use gimmicks they only work but for so long, be creative about your product or the imagery of your booth…always introduce a theme whether in the appearance of the booth itself, your product or the actual displaying of the products themselves… be creative intelligently and forget the gimmicks

To recap your trade show booth should be inviting and open. One should be able to enter your booth not feeling trapped.  There should be some sort of theme to your booth and show something that is different from the rest of show exhibitors.
