Houston Camps Offer Summer Fun For All Ages

Kidventure Summer Day Camps operate at various venues around Houston and there is also one at Austin. The program is divided into three age groups. Discoverers is for children aged 3 – 5 years old, Explorers is for Grade 1 – age 8, and Adventurers is for age 9 to 13. There are lots of activities and field trips for older children. These popular camps in Houston are officially licensed Child Care Centers. Kidventure also run Finale After School Camps in association with The Regis School and St. Theresa’s Catholic School. The camp is open to children aged 8 to 15 years and beginners, intermediate or advanced musicians are welcome. Campers learn from local professional musicians in individual and group lessons and they can choose to study drums, guitar, bass, horns, keyboards or vocals. He or she will be part of a band, whose task is to write a song and practice it. The song is then given a public performance for campers’ family and friends.

Horses are an important part of the Texas economy and the All Heart Horse Farm is a camp in Houston, designed for riders at every skill level, including first timers. Campers learn about riding skills, Horse Management Skills and Horse Care and Grooming. There are four-day sessions, culminating in the final Horse Show Exhibition, which everyone gets a chance to participate in.
