My First Shelf Bra

Back when my mom and grandmother first took me shopping for my first shelf bra, things were much simpler. Just get the stretchy kind that fits like a bathing suit and move on.

Today, my taste has changed and God knows my figure has changed so much that I can actually wear what Mom and Grandma had on that day. A Lace Shelf Bra, NOT! So I have entered the cruel and difficult world of bra shopping. To be honest, after I sifted through the novelty section of lingerie and came upon this company, it wasn’t all that painful. The designs in womens lingerie have changed as much as I have. There are full figured bras in all designs: shelf bras, plunge bras, strapless bras, athletic bras , pushup, lace, cotton , and shear. I found one just for me. The support is excellent and it makes my posture look so much better.

I wore that cotton sport bra for several years and love the fit. I laundered them, and the elastic still seems fresh. I liked the underarm support. I liked it enough to order another one. This time, I will venture into the daring zone and buy a more seductive lace bra. My lifestyle is more simple so I usually pick out the more traditional type but I like this brand so I know the comfort and support will also be found in their full figured plunge bras as well. I could not believe the selection of styles : full figure, plunge, shelf, cotton, sheer, silky, lacey, athletic bras they had them all!

Improved Golf Swing Technique

An improved golf swing can be key to winning more at golf.

Most players take too long a backswing and too long a follow through. There's a greater chance for error when this situation prevails.

Most players could improve their games if they:

  1. took a shorter back swing and then made a shorter follow-through;
  2. choked up one-half inch on the grip and took one or two clubs more than they think the shot calls for;
  3. kept the blade or clubhead square to the ball for the first six inches on the back swing and follow-through.

At no time should the player ease up on the shot when he does these things. Taking more club than usual will enable a player to keep the ball lower and will give him a little less carry.  Firm contact with the ball when the above pointers are observed will provide more backspin. And in nearly all cases, the shorter the swing the more solid the hit.

In 1956, I was playing in the Havana Invitational with an amateur named Enrique Mendoza.  Using a whippy driver, he was spraying the ball all over the lot. I had him get a stiffer-shafted driver and shorten his swing. As a result we won the pro amateur at Havana.

Doug Sanders who has much success on the PGA tour, winning two big tournaments, the Western and Coral Gables Opens, is a great example of what I'm pointing out. Sanders doesn't take the club back too far and doesn't follow through too far.  And he almost never hits the ball badly off line. This article is by Al Besselink
