Making your home something special

I have recently been thinking about selling my house and as with a lot of subjects similar to this have been attempting to find out what the best way to make the house look good before we either sell our house or stay in it for a while longer. I began by looking at various rooms in the house and considering what I might do to improve them and iron out the issues I might feel about them.

Central to my house is the kitchen so I started their looking at the kitchen layout, our kitchen is a fitted kitchen which is quite east to use with a reasonable work triangle (fortunately I spoke to a near by kitchen company about kitchen planning ahead of buying). The floor had problems with just lino layed which had got a little ripped up as I had moved washing machines and fridges about in it. I sought out some tiling advice from a local company to get the floor tiles that would work in with the fitted kitchen without making the room appear to dark (just some of the small things you have to think about when you want to sell your house, first impressions are everything within the small time somebody has to look at you house).

I then needed to make sure the bathroom was up to scratch, my bathroom layout was a bit small because of some fitted cupboards which once removed gave me masses more space (which if you are going on first impressions could help sell my house). Once again I went down to the area tiler for some useful tiling advice and went for big light tiles which appeared to open the space in the bathroom, just one of the many things to be considering when buying bathroom tiles.

The other rooms I painted with a neutral light colour which drew the rooms out and gave the whole house a fresh look. I then stripped out as much stuff as I could and boxed everything that wasn’t necessary away in the garage. The final thing, a house that I wanted to remain in, but after just one or two viewings brought to me from an online property site I have got some good interest, so heres hoping ill be able to sell my house soon.
